Is Telepractice Ok?

Telepractice is Effective
A common question people ask is, ‘Is Telepractice as good as in-person services?’ After years of data collection, research shows that Telepractice is as effective as in-person treatment. One systematic review by Wales, Skinner and Hayman (1) in 2017 found that children who received speech-language services through telepractice made significant and similar improvements to those who attended face-to-face sessions. Another systematic review found equivalent outcomes for adults (Weidner & Lowman, 2020 (2)). Telehealth is best suited for anyone school-aged or older: our focus clientele.

Telepractice is Flexible and accessible:

  • More time with no travel
  • Intervention in the comfort of your home
  • Consistent therapy, uninterrupted by moves or environmental changes such as Covid-19. We can even continue services while you travel!
  • Fun and engaging: Games and apps can even be more stimulating online!
